# Do Claude Project chats pick up files added after a conversation starts?

I have a Claude Project with a few reference files, and I sometimes add or replace documents as the work changes. If I upload a new file while an existing chat in that Project is open, will follow-up questions in that chat use the updated Project knowledge base, or should I start a fresh conversation?

I’m trying to avoid getting answers based on an older version of a document without realizing it.
