# Can Grok tell whether an X post was edited after it was published?

When I’m checking a claim on X, the wording of a post can matter as much as the account that shared it. Can Grok tell if a post has been edited since it first appeared, or does it only assess the version currently visible?

I’m wondering whether it can surface an edit history or point to another way of verifying the original wording, especially when a post is being widely quoted.
