# Can Claude preserve speaker attribution in a long interview transcript?

I’m using Claude to summarize recorded interviews, and the transcripts can get long enough that several people are discussing the same point. I’d like a concise summary, but I need to know who made each claim rather than getting one blended account.

Has anyone found a reliable way to keep speaker attribution intact? I’m curious whether it works better to provide the transcript in one go or ask for a speaker-by-speaker outline first.
