# Can Claude keep track of which document supports each claim in a synthesis?

I’m combining several policy documents in Claude and asking it to draft a short comparison. The summary is readable, but I can’t always tell which source supports a particular claim once details from the files have been blended together.

Has anyone found a reliable way to ask Claude for **claim-level source attribution** across multiple documents? I’m curious whether a source table works better than inline citations, especially when the files use different terminology for the same idea.
