# If I share a Claude Artifact, what can recipients see or change?

I’ve been experimenting with Claude Artifacts for small internal tools and visual explanations. Before sharing one with coworkers, I’m not sure what the recipient actually gets access to.

Can they interact with the artifact only, or can they also inspect its underlying instructions or make changes to the original? I’m especially interested in what happens when an artifact uses [example data](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/157579/what-is-a-graph-in-data-structure-explain-it-with-an-example) that shouldn’t be visible outside my team.
