# Can I set different default models for separate Perplexity Spaces?

I use Perplexity Spaces for a few unrelated projects and would like each one to start with a [different model](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/145515/explain-the-different-layers-of-the-osi-model). Is model choice saved per Space, or do I have to select it again for every new thread?

If there’s a way to set a default, does it apply only to new conversations, or can it affect existing threads too? I’m interested in how this works in the current interface, since I haven’t found a clear setting for it.
