# Can Perplexity notify me when a research topic gets new coverage?

I use Perplexity to look into a few topics that change week to week, and I’m wondering whether it can help with ongoing monitoring rather than one-off searches. Ideally, I’d save a query and get a notice when there’s meaningful new reporting or a development worth checking.

Is there a built-in **saved search alert** for this, or do people revisit their questions manually? I’m also curious how you avoid getting repeated summaries of the same older sources.
