# How well does OpenAI audio transcription separate speakers who talk over each other?

I’m looking at OpenAI’s audio transcription options for recordings where people interrupt or speak at the same time. Clean, one-at-a-time conversations are easy enough to test, but overlap is where speaker labels could become unreliable.

Has anyone tried this with meetings or interviews? I’m especially interested in whether **speaker separation** stays useful during interruptions, and how much cleanup you still have to do by hand.
