# Does Perplexity make it clear when its sources disagree?

When I ask Perplexity about a topic with conflicting reports, the answer can read more settled than the sources seem to be. I’d like to understand whether it reliably points out those disagreements or tends to blend them into one summary.

For people who use it for research, have you found a good way to check **conflicting sources** in the response? I’m particularly interested in cases where the sources differ on a figure, date, or interpretation—not just where one page is obviously outdated.
