# Can Perplexity be limited to a shortlist of websites?

For some product research, I want answers based only on a small set of sources: a vendor’s documentation, a few standards bodies, and perhaps two independent review sites. Can Perplexity keep a search within a list like that, or will it still pull in other pages when it thinks they’re relevant?

I’m looking for a repeatable way to [scope the search](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/1200/what-is-a-search-scope), not just a prompt that asks it to prefer certain sites. If you’ve tried this, how did you check that the answer really stayed within the requested sources?
