# Can Claude turn rough meeting notes into action items without guessing who owns them?

I have meeting notes that are more fragments than minutes: half-finished sentences, shorthand, and decisions mixed in with discussion. I’d like Claude to pull out decisions and follow-up tasks, but I don’t want it assigning an owner just because someone happened to mention a task.

What wording or review process has worked for keeping **action item ownership** grounded in what was actually said? I’m especially interested in whether Claude can flag an unclear owner instead of filling in the gap with a confident guess.
