# Can Claude keep terminology consistent when translating a long document?

I’m considering Claude for translating a long technical document, but I’m wary of terms drifting between chapters. A product name or specialized phrase might be translated one way near the beginning and differently later, even if both versions are technically understandable.

Has anyone found a reliable way to maintain a **translation glossary** across a lengthy job? I’m curious whether you provide the glossary in every request, work section by section with shared context, or use another approach. Consistency matters more to me than making each passage sound especially creative.
