# Can Perplexity stick to documentation for a specific software version?

I often need an answer that applies to one particular release of a tool, not the newest docs or a workaround from an older version. Search results can mix those together, even when the version number is right there in the question.

Has anyone used Perplexity for **version-specific software documentation**? Does it consistently surface material for the release you ask about, or do you still have to open each source and check dates and version labels yourself? I’d like to hear how it handles questions where a feature changed between releases.
