# How does DeepSeek perform on coding tasks when the prompt isn’t in English?

I’m curious about DeepSeek’s coding performance when the request is written in a language other than English. Does it understand the requirements just as well, or does the quality depend heavily on translating the prompt first?

If you’ve tested this, which programming languages and natural languages did you use? I’m especially interested in whether the code itself remains solid when the explanation and instructions are multilingual.
