# Can Claude Projects stay reliable when their reference files change?

I’m using Claude Projects to keep a set of working notes and reference material together. The awkward part is that some of those files get revised, and I’m not sure how confidently Claude distinguishes the latest version from information it has already seen.

For people who maintain **updated project reference files**, what’s your routine? Do you replace files, keep dated versions, or start a fresh project when the source material changes?
