# How Should BigQuery Reservations Be Shared Across Teams With Uneven Workloads?

We’re moving several analytics teams onto BigQuery. One group runs predictable scheduled jobs, while another has bursty ad hoc queries that can consume a lot of capacity at once.

How do you organize **BigQuery reservations** in this kind of setup? I’m trying to understand when teams should share a reservation, when assignments should be split by workload, and how you keep one busy group from making everyone else’s queries feel sluggish.
