How is [machine learning](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13070/rising-popularity-of-machine-learning-classes-in-bangalore) related to AI?

Machine [learning](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126221/instructional-design-for-elearning-why-it-is-so-important) (ML) is a **subset of artificial intelligence (AI)**. AI refers to the broader concept of creating machines that can simulate human intelligence, while ML focuses specifically on enabling machines to **learn from data** and improve their performance over time without being explicitly programmed.

#### Key Relationship:

- **AI is the goal**, and ML is a way to achieve it.
- ML uses algorithms and statistical models to train systems to recognize patterns, make decisions, or predict outcomes.
- All ML is AI, but not all AI involves ML (e.g., rule-based systems are AI but not ML).

#### Example:

- AI: Building a chatbot that simulates human conversation.
- ML: Training the chatbot to improve responses based on past interactions.
