**WAN (Wide Area Network)** is a network that connects devices over a larger geographic area, such as a city, country, or even the entire globe. It typically uses long-distance communication technologies such as leased lines, satellite links, and the Internet to connect devices. The main advantage of a WAN is its ability to connect devices across large distances, which makes it suitable for applications such as online shopping, online banking, and remote work, where users need to access services and data from different locations.
