Where the Google Pigeon is an update to increase the relevancy and quality of local searches.

About the Google Pigeon, it is the code name given to one of Google's local search algorithm updates. Its update was released on July 24, 2014. Like this update is main aimed to increase the ranking of local listing in a search. These changes will also affect the search results shown in Google Maps along with the regular Google search results.

Basicly Google Pigeon to represents a challenge for local business owners in that, rather than chiefly penalizing bad practices, thats redefined Google’s stance on relevance, taking into account some factors over which businesses have little or no control.
