An **SEO-friendly URL** structure refers to the clean and relevant web address to the search engine and the user. These URLs contain relevant keywords which directly relate to the content shown to the users on the specific webpage to enable search engine optimisation. They do not include or allow any extra parameters, and all words making up a concept are joined by hyphen for the sake of a better understandable format. For example, a URL like ‘https://example.com/best-coffee-shops’ is more friendly for Search Engine than ‘https://example.com/page?id=12345’. URLs used in SEO have general small letters in order to support uniformity and avoid this factor coming up again. They help in ranking on the search engines since they give clear context of the page and in aiding the consumption of the page since they are easy to memorize. It means that businesses should focus on simplicity and meaning of the URLs in order to capture more organic traffic to their websites.
