**Backlinks** are one of the most critical SEO factors since backlinks represent the vote for your website. This has an impact on many aspects of your website, it informs Google that your website is trustworthy and that the information you provide is valuable by availing links from reputable websites. Backlinks on the internet refer to other websites linking to a webpage, and quality backlinks can be a method of driving your website traffic and gaining credibility in your particular niche . However, link quality is more important than link quantity – links from reputable, relevant and authoritative sites are much more beneficial than links from irritating number of warmed-over low-quality sites. Backlinks are an important part of SEO, but not mainly for rankings; instead, they help extend the reach of your content, bring in traffic, and improve your online image when done properly.
