When you add an [image](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23551/an-investigate-distinctive-seafood-restaurant-for-your-image-stamp-character) to a page then you also optimize it. You have seen that when search query image option also shows with the textual form of content. Means google understands image. So describing the image and adding a keyword to your image is called alt text. When you adding 10 images at least add 3 keywords in three images.
