# What if i don't use sitemap to crawl my link?

Many times our site is not benefitted from the sitemap. We put the URL of the website so that google crawl our website but it does not remain the same.

If your site is small less than 500 pages then you don’t need it to **[google](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/324600/google-updates-penguin-hummingbird-and-rank-brain)** bots come and crawl the site.

If your site is properly-liked then also you don’t need it.
