Google merged their DoubleClick For Publishers or (DFP) ad server with their Google Ad Exchange advertising source into a unified platform known as Google Ad Manager or (GAM).

Google Ad Manager is defined as a platform that brings the best of DoubleClick Ad Exchange and DoubleClick For Publishers into a unified account. At a time, where publishers have evolved into multi-platform content creators, Google believes that their newly branding better reflects the platform’s expanded capabilities.

Google Ad Manager is a complete ad exchange platform that facilitates both the buying and selling of ads across multiple ad networks and locations, **[including AdSense](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/155680/what-is-the-advantages-of-google-adsense)** and AdExchange.
