# Data Bound ComboBox partially unclickable

I have some ComboBoxes set up like this:

<[ComboBox](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/57/display-record-according-to-combobox-selection-in-csharp-dot-net) Name="CB_OS" Grid.Row="5" ItemsSource="{[Binding](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/146/dynamic-binding-in-c-sharp) OS_Sellection}" SelectedIndex="0" [Margin](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/104990/what-is-a-margin-call)="2" SelectionChanged="OSSelectionChanged">

<ComboBox.ItemTemplate>

<DataTemplate>

<ComboBoxItem [Content](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13019/get-the-best-content-marketing-pricing-packages-for-your-brand)="{Binding Name}" IsSelected="{Binding IsSelected, Mode=TwoWay}"/>

</DataTemplate>

</ComboBox.ItemTemplate>

</ComboBox>

The ComboBox fills with ComboBoxItems correctly, but clicking on the text (Content) does not [select](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/160534/orderby-then-select-vs-select-then-orderby-performance) the Item. I must click elsewhere, where there is no text to actually change the selected item.

If I change it to this:

<ComboBox Name="CB_OS" Grid.Row="5" SelectedIndex="0" Margin="2" SelectionChanged="OSSelectionChanged">

<ComboBoxItem Content="OOOOOOOOO"/>

<ComboBoxItem Content="OOOOOOOOO"/>

<ComboBoxItem Content="OOOOOOOOO"/>

</ComboBox>

it [works fine](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/115732/my-software-works-fine-on-windows-10-but-crashes-on-windows-11-why).

OS_Selection contains only the following members:

[private](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11097/java-access-modifiers-the-public-and-the-private-modifiers) [string](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/1527/string-split-in-c-sharp) name;

private bool isChecked;

private bool isSelected;

So my [question](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/23175/how-to-solve-neet-question-paper-in-less-time) is: How can I make the [entire row](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/46828/if-i-buy-an-entire-row-of-seats-on-a-long-flight-so-no-one-is-next-to-me-can-the-airline-sell-one-of-my-empty-seats-to-someone-or-will-they-respect-the-fact-that-the-empty-seats-are-mine-to-do-as-i-p) (item) clickable?

Hi Ankita,\

Don't put a ComboBoxItem inside the ComboBox.ItemTemplate

Change this:

```
     <ComboBox Name="CB_OS" Grid.Row="5" ItemsSource="{Binding OS_Sellection}" SelectedIndex="0" Margin="2"
SelectionChanged="OSSelectionChanged">
<ComboBox.ItemTemplate>
<DataTemplate>                <ComboBoxItem Content="{Binding Name}" IsSelected="{Binding IsSelected,
Mode=TwoWay}"/>
</DataTemplate>
</ComboBox.ItemTemplate>    </ComboBox>
```

for this:

```
<ComboBox Grid.Row="5" Margin="2"
ItemsSource="{Binding OS_Sellection}"
DisplayMemberPath="Name"/>
```

Also, WPF does not bind to private fields, only public properties.
