# Causes of neck pain

There are several classifications for [neck and shoulder](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/198781/dry-needling-or-acupuncture-which-treatment-is-more-beneficial) discomfort. Some people just have neck or shoulder discomfort, while others have pain in both of these places.

Neck discomfort has several causes:
