# How to set Permanent Path of JDK in Windows

For setting the [permanent](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50600/what-is-a-permanent-storage-in-pc) path of JDK, you need to follow these steps:

- Go to MyComputer [properties](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23331/nootropics-7-different-types-and-their-unique-properties) -> [advanced](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12993/5-advanced-features-for-your-odoo-ecommerce-theme) tab -> [environment variables](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/159994/how-to-set-up-and-use-environment-variables-in-a-node-js-application) -> new tab of user variable -> write path in variable name -> write path of bin folder in [variable value](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/23485/exchange-two-integer-variable-value-without-using-third-variable) -> ok -> ok -> ok
