# How to protect from getting spam emails

Many of us receive a lot of spam emails on a daily basis. This could be promotional emails, marketing newsletters, [social media](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/1843/impact-of-social-media-in-seo) notifications, junk, etc. It is very easy to get a messy mailbox unless you unsubscribe from junk emails and stop spam.

If you want to be more productive at work, you will definitely need to learn how to stop getting disturbing spam emails. Here are several tips that will help you with this task:\

1. Set Up Spam Filters. It is very easy to set up spam filters in your email [service provider](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38213/with-a-user-base-of-more-than-335-million-globally-which-indian-telecom-service-provider-is-currently-world-s-3rd-largest-telecom-company). Just do it once and forget about getting junk.\

2. Unsubscribe.
