These days all the talk is about electric rides, in fact you can call it as the wave of the future. There’s been a spike in trend in the adaptability of electric cars; everyone seems to be on the verge of buying one. Also more and more people are tuning into electric bikes but that’s not what we’ll be talking toady. Rather we are more interested in the more fun and the latest trend that everyone seems to be talking about ‘’ Electric Skateboards’’.  You can see these electric skateboards everywhere from college campuses to city streets and into every other urban location that you can think of.

Powered by a lithium ion battery these board are the most fun to ride alternate e-vehicles that you can think of. At the same time they are highly convenient and portable. Talking about convenience, you can control an electric skateboard by a controller or an app on a smartphone and when you run out of juice just plug it in any socket that you can find.

Kicking and pushing are now the things of the past and the beauty of these boards is that they make up for what traditional boards lack. So, by pushing the trigger on the controller you can reach a speed of up to 20-25miles and with some powerful motors you can achieve a lot more. There are now limitations when it comes to riding, there are electric skateboards for everything for urban environment to off-roads.

But let’s come to the most important question; are these things here to stay? So, after doing some research and riding a few electric skateboards in day to day life these e-boards actually become a part of your life. And with a direct impact on the transportation industry, they are on their way to be the next big thing. Also they are quite cost efficient too; you can get one of these electric skateboard from $200 to $2000 and for around $500 you can get a pretty decent e-skateboard which is capable of anything. Quiet Impressive! When you compare it with the cost of owning a car or a motorbike.

This has created a race among the emerging brands and companies that who will create the best board. With that said let’s take a look at the verity of electric skateboard available on the market.

I can pretty much say that the QUA4TRO by Action Blink is one of the most fun to ride and powerful skateboard that I’ve ever ridden with four hub motors you get a motor in every single wheels. INSANE! With that kind of power the board products more torque and power. So, you can ride this board up to 23 miles per hour and a single charge is capable of giving you 22 miles.
OneWheel+

OneWheel might not be you’re a typical skateboard but it is still one of my favorite ride able gizmos of all time. The ride of the OneWheel is more of a blend of skateboarding, snowboarding and wakeboarding and once you get your feet’s on it you are simple addicted to it. Most importantly you can ride it pretty much anywhere as it’s an all-terrain hover board.
Boosted 2 Dual+

Boosted boards are the pioneer or I should rather say the bench mark setters of the electric skateboard world. Most of the people prefer these boards because they do not come from an overseas company anywhere in China but they are built here in the USA. So, they are the most reliable ones!
Evolve Carbon GT 2-in-1

The Evolve Carbon GT 2-in-1 is one of the most versatile e-skateboard that you’ll ever find. This skateboard is the bridge between your traditional PU-wheels skateboard which is restricted to paved streets and parks you get rubber tires to go off-roading on skateboard. A dream for skateboarders!

So with that said I’m quite interested in seeing where these fast changing trends of transportation evolution will go. Also, I don’t know about you but I can see a world with fewer cars and more of these electric fun rides.
