# 5 Common Emergencies: How to Address Them?

**1st Emergency: Dizziness, Fainting** \

If the patient is not, start CPR: \

• Carry them to a comfortable spot. \
• Pour water over their face\
• When they become awake, pour fluids into their mouths.\

**3rd Emergency: Choking**\
If in your circle, someone starts coughing, it’s normal, yes we also know that but do you know when it does become an emergency? At the dinner table. If the patient, while coughing, is not making any loud sound and their face is turning red, you need to act out before the situation worsens. The probability is the food particle has stuck in their windpipe. If the patient is working it out themselves, fair enough. Otherwise, we suggest you perform the Heimlich maneuver.\

**4th Emergency: Bleeding**\

**5th and Scary Emergency: Seizure** \
When a seizure occurs to a person, the person may fall down and/or make erratic movements. Worry when head jerks and eyes flutter. This may be a consequence of a high fever to someone with epilepsy, or when someone is actually having a stroke.\

While waiting for paramedics, leave the person alone. Don't put anything in the person's mouth. Moreover, record the duration of the seizure.\
