How to hide or withhold your number and Caller ID in Android


In android provides to add contacts via google account and without google account (normally).You can set ringing, photos for different- different contacts in android. If we want to hide particular contact then we can hide particular contacts or caller Id.

Note: You can only hide/withhold your number if your network supports it. We've used a Google Nexus 5 running Android 5.0 Lollipop for this guide so things may vary depending on the brand and model of your smartphone. Follow below steps to hide your call Id or contact list

1.      Open the phone/dialler app on your Android phone.

 

 

2.      Open the menu by tapping the three dots at the end of the search bar then select Settings

 

 

3.      Click on Call Settings.

 

 

4.      Click on 'Additional settings'.

 

 

5.      One the menu has loaded, click on 'Caller ID

 

 

6.      Now hide your computer.

 

 

How to switch off Caller ID in Android

Follow some steps to switch off caller ID

1.      Open the phone/dialler app on your Android phone.

2.      Now open menu and choose Setting.

3.      Click on advance settings.

4.      Open 'Caller ID by Google'.

5.      Now Move the slider left to the off position.
