Freeze Panes in Excel

When you working with very large spreadsheets headings you scroll spreadsheet right or down side for looking whole recode but without the headings, it's hard to keep track of which column or row of data you are looking at. So for looking record with heading we freeze the column and row. Steps are given below.

Step 1: Open your excel spreadsheet.

Step 2: If you want to scroll column, then freeze the column. Select your header column and chose “Freeze Panes” from View menu option as below image and select “Freeze First Column” option as below image.

Now Scroll your spreadsheet horizontal. You see, your header column is fixed and other column will be scrolled.

Step 3: If you want to scroll row, then freeze the row. Select your column header and chose “Freeze Panes” from View menu option as below image and select “Freeze First Row” option as below image.

Now Scroll your spreadsheet vertical. You see, your header row is fixed and other row will be scrolled.

Step 4: If you want to freeze row and column same time then select cell. This selected cell’s above rows and column will be fixed and left rows and column will be scroll. First select cell then select freeze option.
